Windows 10 is a series of personal computer operating systems produced by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. It is the successor of Windows 8.1. It was released for production in 2015. on July 15, and in retail stores on July 15, 2015. July 29 Windows 10 is constantly receiving new editions that are available to users at no additional cost. Devices in an enterprise environment can receive these updates more slowly or use long-term support phases that only receive critical updates, such as security patches, during the 10-year extended support period.

One of the most important features of Windows 10 is support for Universal Apps, an extension of the Metro-style apps first introduced in Windows 8. Universal apps can be built to run across multiple Microsoft product families with nearly identical code PCs, tablets, smartphones, embedded systems, Xbox One, Surface Hub, and Mixed Reality.
