Synopsis
More than ten years after the appearance of the “gate” connecting the worlds, awakening “hunters” with superpowers, the weakest hunter Song Jin-woo encounters a double dungeon and accepts a mysterious task, becoming the only one who can raise his level, which changes his fate. A-1 Pictures pleased us again with Solo Leveling: Awakening. The battle walls are breathtaking, and the smooth transition from season 1 to season 2 is perfectly executed. The quality of the animation is on another level, and the character design is stunning. Combined with exceptional sound design and an impressive Japanese voice cast, it’s hard to imagine a better performance. I honestly thought they wouldn’t do the season 1 review as well as they did, but they exceeded all expectations. This film adds to the hype surrounding Season 2, and I’m so glad I got to see it — it’s truly a masterpiece.
